Cannavino Library Student Assistants
Class of 2008

Library Student Assistants perform essential work to the operation of the Library.  They assist in processing books purchased by the library and preparing them for circulation; they help students check out books, videos, laptops and group study rooms; they fill printer paper and help students with computer questions.  They answer the telephone and help students find materials and work space in the Library.

We know you will be successful professionals because we have seen how you work.  Thank you for a job well done.  Best of luck in all you endeavor.

Paul Contarino

Paul Contarino worked at the Circulation Desk for 2 years. He transferred to Marist from Dutchess County Community College, where he also worked in the Library shelving books. Paul came in to work through all the major snow storms and was always available when we needed him. Paul enjoyed working on many extra projects. He is majoring in History, and will be attending graduate school in the coming year.

Rob McGowan is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing. He has worked in the Library for 3 years, and was a very dependable and flexible worker. He frequently volunteered to work during extended Library hours and snow storms.

Tricia Molinaro
Tricia Molinaro has worked at the Circulation Desk in the Library for 3 years. She is a conscientious worker and very helpful and informative to patrons. Tricia is majoring in International Business. She spent one semester studying in Italy.

 

Megan O'Connell

Megan worked in the Library for one year.  She is majoring in Business with a concentration in Marketing.  Last semester she studied abroad in Spain.  Megan was a dependable worker and always willing to help patrons.

Nicole Thompson has worked at the Circulation Desk all her 4 years at Marist College. She is majoring Communication with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film. Back in High School, Nicole volunteered in her local public library. Nicole is an extremely reliable worker who interacted well with the patrons.

 

Lisa Thornell

Lisa worked in the Library for 2 years.  She is majoring in Art History and Studio Art.  Lisa is considering a career in art Librarianship.  Lisa was very personable when helping patrons and knowledgeable about the Library.

Igor Volsky has worked in the Library for 3 years. Last summer he worked as an Intern in Washington DC in the Center for American Progress. Igor is a very dependable worker, and always willing to help his colleagues out by substituting for them. He worked extended Friday and Saturday mid-term hours for us. Igor was knowledgeable and very personable when helping patrons. Igor is a history major and will be returning to Washington DC to work next year.
