		<abstract>Stanley Becchetti entered Marist College as a freshman in 1962 and graduated in 1966.  The Stanley Becchetti collection consists of memorabilia from his years as a student at Marist, such as newspapers, admissions material and student resident handbook.  Also included in the collection are a Marist College beanie and a rock to be carried at all times as a requirement for freshman by upperclassmen as a form of hazing.  The collection includes materials spanning from the years 1962 to 1977.</abstract>

		<p>The Stanley Becchetti collection consists of personal possessions from Marist College including admissions letters, class grades, student newspapers, alumni newsletters, and articles on the completed McCann Center, as well as physical memorabilia from his college years.  The collection is organized by subject.</p>

		<head>Historical Note</head>
		<p>Stanley Becchetti entered Marist College as a freshman in 1962.  During Stanley Becchetti’s undergraduate years at Marist College, the college was continuously evolving and many substantial renovations were made.  In 1962, the Brothers built Donnelly Hall and named it for Brother Nilus Donnelly and Sheahan Hall was opened as the first campus dormitory building.  In 1966, women were accepted into the evening division at Marist College. </p>
