The Hudson River Valley Commission (HRVC) was formed by Governor Rockefeller and his staff to regulate development along the Hudson River in 1966. This collection consists primarily of the findings from a series of surveys conducted by the HRVC between 1965 and 1970.

The Library of Congress houses the materials dealing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (during the Storm King Case it was known as the Federal Power Commission, or FPC) involvement in the Scenic Hudson Decision.

Russell Train Papers.

Russell Train was the mediator between Con Edison and Scenic Hudson and ultimately negotiated the settlement agreed upon by both parties in 1980, which ended the 17 year long battle.

This series consists of the correspondence and subject files of the Hudson River Valley Commission, which was established by order of Governor Rockefeller on March 20, 1965 for the purpose of conducting a study of the scenic and cultural resources of the Hudson River Valley.

This series consists of black and white photographs and color (Kodachrome) transparencies of areas of the Hudson River highlands surveyed by the National Park Service in the 1960s, including Storm King Mountain.
