Miss Clarissa Harlowe to Miss Howe

Clarissa rationalizes her feelings for Lovelace.  Clarissa is confused about how she feels and how she should feel.  She has all the pressures from her family and all her own emotions to deal with that it makes it difficult to share her opinions.  She does, however, state that if she is in love she will definitely share that with her friend Anna Howe.
