The following guidelines, approved by the Office of Academic Affairs, have been developed to promote equitable use of the fifteen Collaborative Rooms available in the Library.

Students:

  • Students who require collaborative space have priority use of Rooms 110 - 112, 306, and 312 – 318.
  • Students may also book Rooms 300A – D on weekends and after 5pm on weeknights.
  • Book rooms in advance by calling the Circulation Desk (Ext.2029).
  • Maximum reservation time is three hours.
  • Check out and return the room key at the Circulation Desk. Rooms must locked before the key is returned.
  • Individuals may use a room if one is available, however, individuals may not book in advance, and will be asked to vacate if there is a group request.
  • Only bottled water or non-spill containers are allowed in the Library. No food is allowed at any time.
  • Cell phone use is permitted in the collaborative rooms.

Faculty and Administrative Offices:

  • Faculty and Administrative Offices that require collaborative space have priority use of Rooms 300A, B, C, and D during office hours, Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. (Rooms convert to student space at 5pm.)
  • Faculty and Administrator reservations are made through the Academic Learning Center, ext. 3300.
  • Maximum reservation time is three hours.
  • Room keys are checked out and returned to the Academic Learning Center.  Rooms must locked before the key is returned..
  • Only bottled water or non-spill containers are allowed in the Library. No food is allowed at any time.
  • Individuals may use a room if one is available; however, individuals may not book in advance and will be asked to vacate if there is a group request.
