Collaborative Room Policies

The following guidelines, approved by the Office of Academic Affairs, have been developed to promote equitable use of these resources.

Students

  • Collaborative rooms are for academic purposes only.
  • Rooms are intended for groups and a group is defined as two or more students.
  • Book rooms in advance by calling the Circulation Desk (Ext. 2029).
  • The maximum reservation time is three consecutive hours per day.
  • Two students must report to the circulation desk and each must present a Marist ID in order to check out a key.
  • Rooms not claimed within 15 minutes of the start time will be made available to others.
  • No food is allowed at any time.
  • Cell phone use is permitted.

Faculty and Administrative Offices:

  • Faculty and Administrative Offices may use Rooms 300A, B, C, and D during office hours only (Monday – Friday 8a.m. to 5p.m.).
  • Book rooms in advance by calling the Academic Learning Center, ext. 3300.
  • Room keys are checked out and returned to the Academic Learning Center. Rooms must be locked before the key is returned.
  • No food is allowed at any time.
  • Individuals may use a room if one is available; however, individuals may not book in advance and will be asked to vacate if there is a group request.
