Collaborative Room Policies

The following guidelines, approved by the Office of Academic Affairs, have been developed to promote equitable use of these resources.

Students

  • Collaborative rooms are for academic purposes only.
  • Rooms are intended for groups (defined as two or more students).
  • Students/groups may hold no more than one reservation at a time.
  • Students/groups may make only one reservation per day. Additional time may be granted at time of use depending on availability.
  • Two students must report to the circulation desk and each must present a Marist ID in order to check out a key.
  • Rooms not claimed within 15 minutes of the start time will be made available to others.
  • Rooms must be locked before the key is returned.
  • Book rooms in advance by calling or visiting the Circulation Desk (Ext. 2029).
  • No food is permitted in collaborative rooms.

Faculty and Administrative Offices:

  • Faculty and Administrative Offices may use Rooms 300A, B, C, and D.
  • Book rooms in advance by emailing PublicServices.Library@Marist.edu.
  • Room keys are checked out and returned at the Circulation Desk.
  • Rooms must be locked before the key is returned.
  • No food is permitted in collaborative rooms.

Presentation Practice and Skype Interviews:

  • Rooms 300B and C may be reserved by individual students for the purpose of Skype interviews and other video conferencing.
  • Room 314 contains equipment for the practice and recording of presentations and may be reserved by individual students or groups for this purpose.
