  • Who can use the service, Ask A Librarian?
    This service is for the faculty, students, and staff of Marist College.


  • What kind of questions can I ask?
    Brief, factual questions are most appropriate for Ask A Librarian. For more in-depth questions, please stop by the Information / Reference Services area of the Library.

  • How soon will I receive a response to my question?
    Whenever possible, questions received Monday through Friday will be answered within 24 hours. Questions received Friday after 3pm though Sunday will be answered by the following Monday. Holidays and breaks are exceptions.


  • How can I find out if the Cannavino Library owns a particular item?
    Check the Library Catalog.


  • What if an item is not owned by the Library?
    You may submit an Interlibrary Loan request by visiting the Reference Desk or by filling out the online forms:
    Article Form / Book Form

  • How can I get additional information about Reference Services?
    • Send an e-mail to Library.Reference@marist.edu
