Procedure for adding library printer to patron's laptop:

1. Click Start > Settings > Printers
2. Click Add Printer
3. The Add Printer Wizard is opened, click Next to continue
4. Select Local Printer, click Next
5. Select Create a new port, Select Type to be Standard TCP/IP Port, click Next
6. The TCP/IP wizard opens, click Next
7. Type in printer IP Address: lbpub100.printer.marist.edu or lbpub101.printer.marist.edu, click Next
8. Select Standard, Generic Network Card, Click Next
9. Click Finish
10. Select Manufacture: HP, Select Printer name: LaserJet 4250, Click Next (If this model type is not listed you may need to download appropriate drivers from the HP website, see below).
11. Select Keep existing driver, click next
12. Name the printer: Library printer (this could be whatever the patron wants to call it this name is for the printer icon on the desktop).
    Select No for making this the default printer and remind the patron that they will need to select this printer when wanting to print in the library.
    If they want to make this the default printer select Yes and remind them when they leave the library they will need to reset their default printer, Click Next
13. Select Do not share this printer, Click Next
14. Select Yes to print a test page to make sure the setup worked, Click Next
15. Click Finish
16. Printer Icon will show up with the printer name that was entered.
