How to Scan a Color Graphic Image with Adobe Photoshop

  1. Double-click on the Adobe Photoshop 7.0 icon on the desktop.

  2. Place the graphic in the scanner face down.

  3. On the toolbar, click on File, select Import, then EPSON TWAIN 5.

  4. The document will be scanned automatically.

  5. The scanned image will load automatically into a Photoshop window.  Click on File, Save As, and save your image.

  6. To insert into Word or PowerPoint, the file must be saved as JPEG or TIFF.

Some tips:

-It is easy to scan accidentally an image much larger than you actually need, If your image will only be displayed on a computer, it rarely has to exceed (approximately) W=1024 by H=768 pixels. That is the equivalent of a full screen image on this machine. Type these dimensions into the white boxes. You must change inches to pixels. Then adjust the Scaling% box to 100%.

--If you are scanning only a black and white image, select Type: Black and White for much faster processing. Or use Microsoft Photo Editor.

-- Graphic images are very large. Consider saving the image to your FoxWeb account.
