Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

A library display honoring Hispanig Heritage Month. Contents include carts of books, flags, and a poster and infographics adhered to the wall.

It’s officially Hispanic Heritage Month! Celebrate Hispanic authors and other culturally focused titles with books available right at your fingertips through Marist’s James A. Cannavino Library’s Hispanic Heritage Month display. Historical fiction lovers should read In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez. Enjoyers of philosophy might opt for Jorge Garcia’s Hispanic/Latino Identity: A Philosophical Perspective. We also have a variety of picture books including A Judge Grows in the Bronx “La Juez Que Creció en el Brox”; My Colors, My World “Mis Colores, Mi Mundo”; and more.  While you are at the display, take a minute to look at the awesome “Nuyorican poet's café” banner. The “Nuyorican Poets Café” is a real cafe in New York City that highlights the works of multicultural artists. On our banner, we highlight all different Hispanic authors, musicians, poets, and fashion designers. Make sure to come and visit the Hispanic Heritage Month display at Marist’s James A. Cannavino Library.
