October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

A purple sign with the words Domestic Violence Awareness Month is on a beige wall. There's a large purple ribbon on the left hand side of the poster, plus smaller purple ribbons around the sign on the wall.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the library has put together a resource guide to learn more about the topic and to hear the stories of survivors. It includes a variety of resources, including books, videos, online and on campus resources, and hotlines. All October, Marist’s Title IX Office is holding events to spread awareness and encourage conversations around this topic, as well as to uplift survivors’ voices. Keep an eye on their Instagram page for details! If you need to report an incident of sexual violence or abuse, Title IX has information available on their website. If you need further help, reach out to Marist Counseling Services.
