October 5-11 is Banned Books Week!
Join us in fighting censorship in our recognition of this important week. We'll have a display on the 2nd floor of the library as well as a puzzle and other activities in addition to our exciting list of events for you to participate in.

October 5th - Zine Making
4:30 - 5:30 pm
Gartland Reading Room
Drop in anytime within the hour to make zines that celebrate freedom of speech! No experience is required. We’ll give you an introduction to zines and zine making, and all materials will be supplied!
October 7th - Banned Books Read Out
10:00 am - 10:00 pm
On the Riverside of the Library After dark/Rain location: Library Lobby
Celebrate your right to read by reading banned and challenged books out loud! Stop by to listen or read a book as part of our event. We’ll also have snacks and activities for you. After dark, we’ll move inside to the library lobby.
We are looking for readers for half hour shifts! You can sign up to read the book of your choice by emailing elizabeth.clarke2@marist.edu.
